The Obligitory End-Of-Year Post
Well, 2009 wasn't actually that bad. I know most of my friends are in the opposite mind, but I had a pretty good year, all things considering.
I'm looking forward to less economic what-the-fuckery in 2010, as well as possibly a new job. I'm also looking forward to new plans, moving forward into my no-longer-mid 20's and making new arrangements with Hunter.
I'm grateful to 2009 for reminding me that I can pretty much get through anything as long as I just keep it together and don't lose my head. I'm also grateful for a Series of Unfortunate Circumstances that happened to throw Hunter and I together. I'm glad my grandparents made it another year, though it was a pretty close call at times. I'm also grateful for my amazing parents, who are always there for me no matter what.
I'm sorry Melanie had to go through so much bullshit this year, but hopefully another year will bring new experiences and new confidences in herself. So far, it's going well. I can't wait for the divorce to close.
Laura ended up unable to come to the party we're throwing tonight, which is disappointing, but I understand. She's under some financial straits right now that won't allow her to make the trip, which is fine. She's back in Madison now, so I'll be able to visit her more frequently as the distance isn't nearly as great as it was before when she was in Minnesota or New York.
I got a new camera for Christmas, so hopefully I'll get it to hook up to my computer so I'll have pictures for the new year.
Have a happy and safe New Year everyone!
